The work

Finished, and still standing

Every photograph here is our own work in northern New Jersey. Nothing on this page is a stock image or another company’s job.

Residential masonry

Bluestone entry steps with stacked stone risers and a fitted cap, with firewood stacked beside the door
Bluestone treads on a stacked stone face. The risers are equal top to bottom, which is what stops you catching a foot on the way up.
Long stacked stone porch with white columns, bluestone caps and wicker furniture
A full porch face in stacked stone under bluestone caps, with the coursing carried through behind every column.
Stacked stone mailbox and lamp pillar with a bluestone cap in front of a colonial home
A pillar is a small wall. The cap overhangs evenly on all four sides, which is the detail you notice from the road without knowing why.
Stacked stone mailbox pillar with house number fifteen and a lamp on top
Number and lamp built into the pillar rather than fixed on afterwards.
Stone and timber framed entry portico with bluestone steps and a stacked stone face
Stone face and bluestone treads under a timber framed portico. The steps were set out before the stone went on so the coursing lines through.
Bluestone front walkway and planting beds at the same house, seen from the driveway
The walkway to the same entrance. The fall across it was set before a single flag was laid, so it drains without looking like it slopes.
Bluestone patio with teak furniture built behind a Bergen County home
A rear patio in bluestone. Flat after the base was compacted in lifts, and still flat after the winters since.

Commercial and municipal

Municipal playground with new safety surfacing, benches on concrete pads and perimeter fencing
Municipal playground work: cleared, graded, based, poured and surfaced, with benches set on concrete pads.
Second view of the municipal playground showing surfacing, concrete edging and street frontage
The same park from the street. Town jobs are inspected at each stage and have to reopen on a published date.
Municipal park swing set on new poured surfacing with concrete sidewalk and curb behind
Swing bay on new surfacing, with the concrete walk and curb line run back to the boundary.

Site work

Adamo Brothers crew grading a cleared lot with a surveyor's level, excavator, skid steer and string lines
Site work in progress: levels being taken across a cleared lot, string lines set, and the formation graded before anything is built on it.
Adamo Bros branded John Deere 310SG backhoe loader parked roadside
Our own backhoe. Owning the machines is why the excavation does not wait on a hire company's calendar.
Adamo Bros branded backhoe loader working on a jobsite with graded gravel and spoil piles
The same machine on a working site, moving material during site preparation.
